Hong Kong's return to the motherland is a global event,so every anniversary,especially the 10 th anniversary,the 20 th anniversary of the major themes are media reports.This paper,based on the perspective of media memory theory,turning to the leading newspapers of our country,the People's Daily on the 20 th anniversary of the return of Hong Kong in 2017,151 report as the basic material,using content analysis and text analysis research methods,the combination of its about Hong Kong's return to the memory medium construction of important historical events.The main content of the research includes the reports of the return of Hong Kong's memory mode,construction of subject construction,constructing strategy,reason and value,etc.The study found that in 2017 the People's Daily reports of Hong Kong's return to the 20 th anniversary of the quantity,scale,construct the theme is clear,clear construction strategy.Construct the subject mainly include political "one country,two systems" "Hong Kong people ruling Hong Kong" policy,economic development and prosperity of Hong Kong,as well as the national identity of national level.The People's Daily reported,by the arouse and delivery audience's memory,finally construct for the central government and the Hong Kong SAR of the new national and ethnic memory.
