After World War Ⅱ, the Cold War Pattern formed. Because of the special historical and geographical environment of Hong Kong, the development of literature was complicated. Realism, romanticism and modernism were in co-existence. The traditional culture of ancient China, the new-vernacular and the foreign culture integrated, forming a special developing space. By analyzing the content and the features, I would like to expound the significance of the newspapers and periodicals for the youth in the1950s.They developed between the left-wing and the right-wing literature. In the favor of the old writers, a certain amount of young writers in Hong Kong grew up, such as Lu Yin, Kun Nan and Qi Huan. The newspapers and periodicals for the youth in the1950s promote the development of the literature of Hong Kong. It is the beginning of localization and independence of the Hong Kong literature. They were the links between the Chinese literature home and abroad and very important to its development.
