As the standard of living improves,people's demand on tourist inquiries increasingly raises,which gives rise to the need for television travelling programs and promotes a blooming and flourishing development.However,at the time when VT travelling programs enjoy a growing development,audience rating becomes the standard which decides the survival the TV programs,and in order to boost viewership,writers and directors would intentionally exaggerate and vulgarize programs and even creates a phenomenon of over-entertainment,resulting in a unsatisfying quality,a low influence and a loss of cultural communication responsibilities of television.Taking the cultural connotations of TV travelling programs as a starting point and a combined approach of broadcast and television,art of broadcasting,and hosting and communication sciences,from the perspectives of the development of television travel programs,the interpretation of cultural connotations of TV tourism programs,the inadequacies of the cultural connotation of television tourism programs,and the expression strategies of the cultural connotation of TV tourism programs,it is important to understand in depth the new developments and potential of TV tourism programs.Through an analysis on some cases and relative academic papers,it can be concluded that the cultural connotations of TV travelling programs should involve: creating cultural identity to wake up the cultural ascription of domestic audiences and promoting the rational cognition of international audiences;fitting into the cultural trends,emphasizing timeliness and developing innovatively according to the historical background and state policies;integrating into multiple elements and stressing propagation effect;introducing star scholars and teaching through lively activities;spreading cultural knowledge to meet the information demand of public travelling;undertaking the responsibility of cultural transmission and telling China stories well;enhancing cultural experiences and developing experience-based tourism which not just changes the form of TV travelling programs,but strengthens the interactivity and interest and draws more audiences.However,there are some shortcomings in the expression of cultural connotation in the current television travel programs.The main manifestation is that shooting ignores the deep integration of geographical elements.It just simply refers to the cultural elements of tourist attractions but fails to dig andrefine these elements.The editing emphasizes too much on theatrical conflicts and uses clips to create contradictions to snatch ratings.Although it gained attention,it did not exert its duty of broadcasting television programs to promote regional culture and the entire social culture,thus laying a hidden danger for the long-term development of the programs.Based on this and taking the author's graduation programs into account,the cultural connotations of TV travelling programs are specifically manifested in the following aspects: entertainment elements which are created on the basis of protecting cultural connotations are incorporated into.The TV travelling programs should stick to the cultural property in content and accord with the entertainment property of television media.As for program styles,rituals and casualness need to be blended together,processing old elements into new and further processing new elements are the current status of TV travelling programs,and this kind of program operating philosophy is an evidence that these programs gradually become more casual.In the arrangements of guests,it is very important that the host and tour guide cooperate with each other,and the host should deal with all situations flexibly and at will,interrupt timely and control the whole process.Fashion and classics should be combined together when selecting the selection,because it is very significant which not just shows the level of the production team,but brings strong visual enjoyment to audiences.While when framing,the relation between “root” and “leaf” should be balanced,and the mode of forward from “root” to “leaf” or backward from “leaf” to “root” can be adopted in actual filming.And in the process of program packing,equal attention should be paid to art and magnificence,and details are also should be stressed to offer an all-dimensional understanding of the natural human landscape where audiences go.Apart from incorporating entertainment elements,the expression of hosts also plays a key role,and as the participant of TV programs,hosts should follow these several ideas: looking into the local custom and culture,the stories behind the filming location and the conveyed thoughts instead of being satisfied with the contents provided by the director;improving the language organizational ability to make their expressions have a background,a start and an end,and highlight the theme;accumulating catch phrases and interesting news at work and in life to increase the sense of humor and amusement of communication,and sincerity are needed and the words said should be consistent with the atmosphere of the scene to achieve the best communicating effect;use paralanguages like clothes,actions and expressions properly and enhance the expressive effect through the coordination of paralanguages and current languagesurroundings;be good at using body languages to lead the audiences to experience along with gestures;lay emphasis on the sense of lens and guide the audiences into the environment through the communication with the lens for a complementary effect;make a thorough survey and personal and on-the-spot investigation before the interview so as to know the hosting process fairly well and have a rough idea of the interviewed person,the link of parts and the situation of the scene;and finally,make the clothes be in perfect harmony with the styles,cultural connotations of the programs,otherwise,the audiences may easily think of other programs and question the authenticity of these programs.
