Day Day Up is one of entertainment talk show which launched by Hunan TV in2008. Because of the unique program feature and style, the program is apprec iated byall walks of life. Based on the excellent traditional culture, especially the etiquetteand social morality, the program creates a pleasant mood for the audience in the formof entertainment talk show, which leads the audience to know and learn the traditionalculture. Because the conception and the content, the program has a high culturecharacter and reaches the propose of reside the teach on happy. During thedevelopment of the program, there are some problems has been commenced, such asthe quality of the content deduction, the fixed broadcast form. Therefore, we shouldthink and make a thorough inquiry on communicating the Chinese traditional culturein the development of the program which we keep the entertainment character andhold fast the culture quality of the program.Under the text analysis, the example analysis, etc, this paper has an quantitativeand qualitative analysis to the program Day Day Up and describes the presentsituation of traditional culture, analysis the problems in comm unication and thecommunication strategies. So this paper is divided into four chapters:The firstchapter introduces the research background and purpose, as well as the research statusat home and abroad, the article’s research methods and synthesis. The chapter twointroduces and explains the characters in the Chinese traditional culturecommunication. In the content, it discusses the connotative meaning of traditionalculture in the program from program location, the value of the subject and theprogram formation. Also, it analysis the characteristic of the entertainment programDay Day Up in communication of the traditional culture based on the theme, form,and the visual and auditory element in the program. In the visual language symbols, I tillustrates the posture, clothing, screen text; in the auditory language symbols, itelaborates mainly from the commentary, host and the music aspects. The third chapterdiscusses the problem which have arisen and faced in the communication of Chinesetraditional culture. The deficiency of communicating the traditional culture of theprogram mainly concerns from there aspects: the dissemination content; thecommunication forms, which in the way of texture and statistic analysis. The lastchapter expounds how to spread the Chinese traditional culture. It suggests theprogram Day Day Up should use its own advantages to combine the content setting, the value of culture, communication form and the social aims.
