The concept of Intelligent Home was put forward in the early1980s, but still stayat laboratory research stage so far.As the rising of the technologies of Internet ofThings, this research have been moved towards the practical applications,the variousmicro devices which was based on network communication technology,sensortechnology was gradually been integrated to all kinds of facilities in our daily life,provided us with intelligent, efficient,comfortable and secure living environment.As green energy was advocated in today’s society, the energy conservation andenvironmental protection mechanisms of Intelligent Home system should not only beconsiderated in the design procedure, but also should provide mechanism to avoid thewaste brought by bad habits at the same time, to realizing these functions, both powersensing and control ability is needed for the household appliance.And towards that,theold way is to integrate the embedded devices to the appliances,this requires themanufactures to considerate in the design procedure of new products, but in the earlystages when such application starts, we need make the already exist traditionalappliances work with the Internet of Things with least modification.This project is aiming at solving the above-mentioned problems, putting forward anew non-intrusive solution which add an adapter between power plug and outlet, thisadapter was based on wireless sensor network technology, combined with the IPv6protocol, and adopts the6LoWPAN network protocol, realized a internet basedhousehold appliances monitoring and control system.The main work of this thesis is based on a platform consist of STM32microcontroller and CC2520rf chip, finished analyzing and porting Contiki embeddedoperating system, also finished CC2520radio device driver and ported6LoWPANstack,designed UART serial port driver,and then carried out detailed tests at the end ofthe thesis,the result shows it works properly.The contribution of this thesis is finishedbuilt the low level software platform of the whole system.
