In 1992,the UNESCO sponsored cultural institutions such as museums, libraries, and archives to make scientific use of the precious archives, documents, oral historical materials and reliable ancient books, which are preserved as the world cultural heritage, and to build a"World Memory Project".From then on,the memory projects of various countries have been successfully carried out. However, during the planning, design and implementation of all kinds of "social memory projects",the archives have become the basic structure of the restoration of history because of their evidence value and the property of truth. The oral historical records are rich materials for restoring history due to their reference value and the attributes of diversity and vividness. Therefore, the two are not only the two core subjects of restoring history, but also their interactive relations have become the main method of constructing social memory banks. On the basis of systematic summary and literature investigation of domestic and foreign research status, and based on the analysis of a large number of "social memory" project cases at home and abroad, the author begins with the definition and category of the archives and oral history records, introducing social memory theory, system theory and social interactive theory as the theoretical bases of the interactive relations between archives and oral history records.Thereafter, after in-depth analysis, the author believes that the two parties have a clear interactive logical starting point in the social theme needs, value goals and recording ways, and there is a clear interactive relationship of the two about the social memory integrity of three dimensions and the social memory authenticity of two dimensions. Thus the author comes to the viewpoint that the archives and oral history records are mutually complementary and corroborated in the restoration of social memory, with the characteristics of differentiation and integration, contradiction and coordination, conflict and harmony.Meanwhile,in the exploration of the relations between archives and oral history records, the author also found that the two showed some inner forming trends in the concept, work methods and subject systems. Finally, based on the value and impact of the interactive relations between archives and oral history records for the restoration of social memory, the author puts forward a long-term effective interaction mechanism, such as resource integration and sharing, the linkage of service mode, the guarantee of the standard laws and regulations, the joint cultivation of talents and so on,so as to effectively serve various social memory projects for the high quality and smooth implements. When exploring and analyzing the relations between archives and oral history records, the paper has made innovations in the following three aspects.Firstly, from the perspective of social memory,it uses the social memory theory and the social interactive theory to study the related problems of archival science, which shows the innovation of the research perspective.Secondly,it is the first paper to systematically analyze the cognitive and interactive relations of archives and oral history records from the aspects of the integrity and the authenticity of memory, making it clear that the two are core subjects in materials and methods of the restoration of social memory. Finally, the paper puts forward a long-term effective interaction mechanism so that it can better serve the human "Memory Project" construction.
