The Double Aesthetic Value Of Mcluhan Media Theory

This article starts from McLuhan's media theory,focuses on analyzing the core content of its theory and thinking,starting with the humanities,arts,and other directions,aesthetic interpretation of its key theories and ideas,combining the characteristics of media modernization,with the formation of Chinese characteristics The analysis of the aesthetic theory of the media.Firstly,in this thesis the core content of McLuhan's media theory is firstly studied and analyzed in detail,and the media definition and classification are expounded.The four core contents of McLuhan's media theory are as follows: medium is information,global village theory,and man is an extension of media.And the theory of hot and cold media analysis.From an aesthetic point of view,the direction and theme of McLuhan's theoretical research have shifted to the senses,consciousness,and personal emotions of human beings,setting the main direction for the study of humanities and arts aesthetics in the new era.Secondly,it analyzes the aesthetic value of the humanistic thought in McLuhan's media theory.McLuhan's media theory is full of humanistic aesthetic ideas,and he uses the two words "language" and "extension" as the core of humanistic thought in McLuhan's media theory.McLuhan's media thoughts embodied humanistic thoughts,demonstrated the autonomy of the people,and embodied the establishment of a personal balance mechanism based on media technology and social environment to realize the harmonious coexistence and development of people and environment.The reflection on "technical determinism" is a new perspective on the interpretation of McLuhan's media theory in the context of the new era.Thirdly,this thesis analyzed the aesthetic value of the artistic thought in McLuhan's media theory.McLuhan's media theory embodies the characteristics of the ecological thought of art.His thoughts are not analyzed from the traditional definition of art.Instead,he starts from the media theory and makes a new exposition of art from the perceptual perspective of people and environment.This is the basis of media theory from the perspective of modern aesthetics.From the perspective of art,McLuhan's media theorycan be expressed as: art is the perception of media technology;art is a way of human existence;art is the converter in the process of media technology development.At last,this thesis summarizes the related work of the double aesthetic value analysis of McLuhan's media theory,and extends the future research work from both cultural differences and media environments of Chinese and Western cultures.
