The media spectacle theory is the unique depiction of contemporary western capitalist society features by the American contemporary Marxist Kellner on the basis of absorbing and drawing on the essence of many sages.In Kellner's view,the current advanced capitalist society has entered a new stage of development-technological capitalism.At this stage,the media spectacle has become one of the important principles in contemporary politics,economic activities and daily life.The details of our lives have almost been spectacleized by the media,and the form of capitalist control is also in a stance.Try to use the media spectacle to achieve more profound,more extensive,more lasting,more than imagined social shocks.This article sets out from the reality of the information and entertainment society of contemporary technology capitalism,takes a more in-depth understanding and interpretation of media spectacle as the main line,and carries out a relatively complete combing of Kellner's “media spectacle” theory,trying to answer “what is the media spectacle,How the media spectacle works and what impact it has on those areas,” is the subject of this article and the goal of this article.This article is divided into three parts.The first part is the first chapter,which mainly deals with two questions: Why do we need to theoretically study the spectacle of the media and the social context and theoretical sources generated by Kellner's "media spectacle" theory?
