Recently,with the large-scale application in transportation vehicles such as aircraft and automobile,millimeter wave radar demands longer measurement range and higher measurement accuracy.The test and measurement requirements of radar becomes more critical.Radar transmitting signal plays an important role in radar system.Parameters such as power,frequency and modulation mode are the key factors which affect the performance of radar.Therefore,the test and analysis system for millimeter wave radar signal is demanded.This dissertation focuses on the test and analysis for millimeter wave radar signal and the main contributions of this dissertation are as follows.(1)Study on radar transmitting signal and develop the millimeter wave radar transmitting signal test scheme.Analyze the test standards of millimeter wave radar and determine the test content and system structure.The test requirements are analyzed from three aspects of time domain,frequency domain and modulation domain.(2)Study on the key algorithms in the test and analysis system.One is the linear frequency modulated continuous-wave signal detection method based on instantaneous frequency-modulated slope.It can also calculate the start and end position of the linear frequency modulated signal.The other is the modulation parameter estimation method based on time-frequency distribution.The kernel function is improved to estimate the time-frequency distribution.And the modulation parameters can be estimated by time-frequency distribution.The two algorithms are simulated in Matlab platform and proved efficient.(3)Design the test and analysis system software for millimeter wave radar signal.The overall structure and test requirements of the system are given.The control module,communication module,data processing module and display module are designed in detail.(4)The experiments are carried out with the triangular wave signal and saw tooth wave signal,which verify the validity of the algorithms and the correctness of the test and analysis system.
