The Design Of Common-interface Gateway To Medical Instruments

With development of Internet of things,the Internet of medical instruments and timely sharing of medical information have become a mainstream.This paper has designed a universal interface,allowing remote accesses to medical instruments without network interconnection.All informations can be obtained by diversified hardware interfaces from medical instruments such as ECG,B super(B-mode ultrasonography),CT(Computed Tomography)etc.Instant upload of medical information into database system could help doctors keep up with health states of their patients so as to make diagnosis and therapeutic schedule in time.In that way,efficiency of treatment and satisfactions of patients have been improved.Besides,an optional medical parameter module can be appended and make a household medical monitor.The users can access the personal medical information system and ask for tele-medicine and health monitoring.This paper mainly consists of following parts.Based on the common interfaces of medical instruments,this paper has complished the hardware design of common-interface gateways which are compatible with variety of medical instruments and medical parameter modules,including the minimum system circuits of master ARM3352,the gateway interface circuit,the storage circuit,the display circuit,the power management circuit,WIFI module circuit and so on.The common-interface gateway software of medical instruments has been designed based on the Embedded Linux operating system,including the underlying and communicating software between gateways and medical instruments.In addition,the communication protocol and communication software between the gateway Master and expanding interface MCU have been devised.It also designed the WIFI use software,business communication software between the Gateway and the medical information system,the Gateway's LCD display of the Information and graphical interface.Several tests have been performed in order to illustrate our well-designed work.The compatibility of the Common-interface Gateway to several common interfaces of medical instruments has been verified by experiments on the Common-interface Gateway to Medical Instruments,so has the information sharing function.The experiments showed great stability of gateways in connection to WIFI data transmissions and WIFI roaming state.
