Research On Cultural Relic Information Resource Metadata Interoperability Model Based On OAI-PMH

As heritages of culture and history,the cultural relics are the materiality of cultural heritage,and they are also the crystallization of human civilization.With the changes of the times and the passage of time,entity of cultural relics are easily damaged,or even disappear,in order to leave more history for future generations to witness,the digitization of cultural relic resources gets profound and importantly practical significance.With the continuous development of digital cultural relic resources in our country,facing the heterogeneity and diversity of cultural relic information resources,in order to let more people can see valuable information from all kinds of precious cultural relic digital resources through the Internet,the interoperability has become a very important problem to be solved.The interoperability of the cultural relic information resource metadata is mainly to be solved the information transmission,sharing and interaction between cultural relics;improve the efficiency of the use of cultural relic related data.Although the OAI-PMH applied in the field of cultural relic information resource doesn't have many successful cases,it provides the possibility of designing and implementing the interoperability framework and model of metadata for cultural relic information resources,and also offers a solution for effective management and sharing of the complex and varied cultural relic information resources in the field of cultural relics.In this thesis,based on the systematic and in-depth study of the interoperability of cultural relics information resource metadata and the OAI-PMH technical framework,this thesis analyzes the feasibility of using the OAI-PMH to implement the interoperability of cultural relic information resource metadata.Based on the flexible and open features of OAI-PMH,this thesis introduces OAI-PMH into the field of cultural relics,and applies the technical framework of OAI-PMH to the interoperability of cultural relic information resource metadata,design the cultural relic information resource metadata interoperability model based on OAI-PMH,in order to solve the problem of interoperability of metadata,and describes in detail main modules and their functions,including cultural relic data provider,cultural relic service provider and registration server modules,then illustrates the interaction between the various modules.in these models the cultural relic data provider and cultural relic service provider are the core part to achieve interoperability,that is,the cultural relic data provider generate and release the cultural relic information resource metadata through the interface,and the cultural relic service provider collects and stores cultural relic information resource metadata from the cultural relic data provider through the harvester,then it provides the corresponding search and retrieval and other value-added services for the users,while the registration server module is to organize and manage the cultural relic data provider and the cultural relic service provider for better.Finally,this thesis makes a feasibility study on the cultural relic information resource metadata interoperability model based on OAI-PMH by using the case analysis method.The results show that the OAI-PMH applied to the cultural relic information resource metadata interoperability is a very effective way to solve the metadata interoperability and sharing mechanism of cultural relic information resources,and it is also very feasible and valuable.
