Since it's launch,"The Belt and Road Initiative" has received a lot attention domestically and internationally.It contains diverse strategic appeals of our country.Taking multiple fields and complex national conditions of countries alongside the route into consideration,it's strategic implementation is faced with huge challenges.Internally,we should pool together the strength of our whole nation.Externally,we should foster a good pattern of communication between China and countries alongside the route so as to win a boarder consent and support from international community.Therefore,it's not hard to see how important the interpretation and propagation of the spirit of "The Belt and Road Initiative" is.Based on such,this article aims to explore the construction and presentation of the issue on "The Belt and Road Initiative" by our media domestically and internationally.It points out some similarities and differences,advantages and disadvantages and offers direction on the strategy of how to optimize it's propagation as well.Taking People's website and China Daily website as an example,this article adopts a research method that combines content analysis and discourse analysis and digs deep into characteristics of media coverage on "The Belt and Road Initiative".To begin with,it explores objective attributes of the coverage on "The Belt and Road Initiative" in terms of themes,source of information,subjects,genre and ways of presentation.Next,this article emphasizes news facts of the coverage through framework analysis.Last,by digging deep into the text and discourse,it explores,through keywords and rhetoric,how these two media presents "The Belt and Road Initiative".It turns out that there are many common grounds on the presentation of this policy by these two media.First,it's economic and political theme puts an emphasis on the opinions of elites.This represents the character of national advanced strategy of "The Belt and Road Initiative".Second,the coverage shows an obvious results framework and rhetorical framework of political mobilization.It also emphasizes a combination of concrete facts and interpretation of policy.Third,the coverage of "The Belt and Road Initiative" has already transcended the policy itself.It also contains the state will of China,a political community.In turn,these subjective discourses provide a background for audiences to better understand the strategy.This effectively enriched the presence of "The Belt and Road Initiative".Besides,there are some distinctive characters of these two media in terms of discourse strategy.People's website infuses a national perspective into the presence of "The Belt and Road Initiative",putting an emphasis on the leading role of "me".China Daily website,however,weakens it's political complexion,putting an emphasis on an international perspective of "us".On the whole,these largely identical but with minor differences express the enriched connotation of "The Belt and Road Initiative".This kind of combination spreads a positive image of China and appropriately combines the disseminative principle of differentiated but consistent coverage in China and aboard.
