Research And Implementation Of OPENFLOW Based Network Performance Optimization Technology

Since the development of network technology is based on application requirements,today's Internet increasingly focuses on growing demand for performance of networks.With the birth and development of OpenFlow,more and more organizations from academia to industry have concerned OpenF low,which may become the next Internet core technology.The OpenFlow technology opened up a new direction for the development of network.By centralized controlling and flow level forwarding,OpenFlow technology has great potential in network performance optimization.In the TCP/IP networks,the packets are forwarded by comparing the destination IP and the destination networks of the routing table,while OpenFlow supports matching dozen fields of the packet to forward it.On the other hand,because of the distributed computing of the routing protocol,even if the underlying physical link is still up to the destination,the data can not be forwarded during the convergence in the network fault environment;but through a global perspective,OpenFlow can solve the path repair problem based on the global state of the network.In these scenarios,inadequate utilizing of the network resources leads to the decline of the network performance.This thesis gives an OpenFlow-based network performance optimization technology to improve the network performance in these scenarios.By using OpenFlow technology,it can adjust the flow rapidly and comprehensively according to network status to decline the data packet loss rate and improve network performance.The main work of this thesis includes:summarized current research status,proposed OpenFlow-based network performance optimization technology.The main points include:cross IP subnets communication technology based on OpenFlow,the OpenFlow control program in IP networks,OpenFlow-based global path repair technology and visualization management system of OpenFlow networks.The test results proved this study about OpenFlow-based network performance optimization technology can ease the loss of network performance for the distributed routing protocol resource control.
