Cardiovascular disease is one of the major diseases that threaten human health. In recent years, along with the increase of life rhythm and work pressure, more people happen to have even died from cardiovascular disease.Due to the sudden onset, high mortality rate and other characteristics of cardiovascular disease,it is necessary to develop a portable ECG monitoring equipment that can monitor and alarm cardiovascular disease in real-time for patients. This paper focuses on the research of ECG monitoring system on Cortex-M3.The main work is as follows:1.Elaborated the generation mechanism of the ECG,ECG lead system and the main characteristics of the ECG signal.Compared the common ECG hardware implementations and the electrocardiogram machines in current market, the LM3S9B96 microcontroller based on ARMv7 architecture Cortex-M3 core is selected to design and development the portable ECG monitoring system.2.The blue print of ECG monitoring system hardware is presented based on features of LM3S9B96 microprocessor, and ECG signal acquisition amplification module,LCD touch screen number input and waveform display module,GPS module and EM310 short message alarm module are described in detail.3.The ECG monitoring system is designed on ?C/OS-II operating system, the flow chart of system software is presented.Analog-to-digital conversion and data transmission task,real-time annalysis of ECG signal task,LCD touch screen number input and waveform display task,GPS information extraction and EM310 short message alarm task are described in detail.4.Both healthy subjects and MIT/BIH Arrhythmia database have been used to testify the validity of the algorithm and the stability of the system. The system can achieve real-time analysis of ECG data, timely alarm of the abnormal situation and locate the patient accurately.
