The Research Of Differentiation Of Li Na's Media Image In Metropolitan Newspapers

With the development of popular culture,the concept of media reports began to change.The reports to sport athletes is no longer just on the game,but extending to the field and life and a more extensive range,and so media image of athletes are more abundant and diverse.Since Li Na won The French Open woman's singles champion in 2011,The domestic and foreign media started to pay attention to Li Na,the reported perspectives of different media are different.This article is based on the theoretical framework,selecting the three Metropolis Daily as study samples,such as Southern Metropolis Daily,Chutian Metropolis Daily and Jinghua Times.Through literature research,frame analysis,and comparative analysis methods,the article aims to analysis these three newspapers from the point of genre,theme,tendency,the source and so on.The results show that The southern metropolis daily reported both positive and negative point of view,shows a multi-faceted tennis star,and shapes her into a commanding athlete in the game,also a feisty people with distinct personality.As Li Na's hometown media,Chutian Metropolis Daily shows large-scale positive reports,almost avoiding all controversial events.In terms of career,displays a international tennis star image that represents the image of China and Wuhan;In terms of life,shapes a humor and healthy image of the typical characteristics of women in Wuhan.In addition,Jinghua Times shapes Li Na into a tenacious,successful,and independent image of Chinese tennis player,and she was packed into advertisers darling,strengthening her commercial value and powerful personal influence beyond tennis.In the last,the author carried out thinking from the perspective of the phenomenon of"Winner is king loser for the Bandits",the narrative mode of "heroism",sports stars'personal behavior and so on.And reflecting on the shortcomings of this research.
