On the background of more diversified remarks,more tolerant public opinionenvironment, the development of political civilization and the reform of the politicalsystem continued to deepen, the special group of public intellectuals who have its owncharacteristics of facing the public, for the public and involving public affairs plays animportant role in guiding public opinion, enlightening audience citizen consciousnessand construction of public domain.Personal column as a vital platform for public intellectuals to make a statement,greatly facilitate the intellectual elite to comment on public affairs, guide the directionof public opinion, and conduct public life. This paper takes personal column of"Southern Metropolis Daily" as sample from2004to2011, and analyses the mainframework and value orientation of three representative columnists' article-Wuyuesanren, Liu Hongbo and Zhang Ming with western news frame analysismethod. We find that the framework of three representative columnists showsexposing wrong, safeguarding rights and variation respectively. Each frameworkreveals a strong sense of personal style. Three performance values in the articlestendency also have their own preferences. But in general they reflect the same valueof a unified picture of' Southern Metropolis Daily, such as fairness and justice,democracy and freedom. Facing the same issues, though the point of view is slightlydifferent, there authors basically try to define the problem, and to solve the problem inthe same values.
