With the aggravation of the market competition, manufacturing enterprises arefacing the problems, such as shorter product cycles, changeful market. Enterprises tend tobuild the flexible production in the direction of multi-type and small batch in orderto adapt to the needs of the market. But many kinds of products, the small differencebetween products lead to material delivery difficult on the assembly line. At the righttime, the appropriate material delivery to the correct position is the key to ensurea smooth production assembly line. Therefore, it is of great significance to find anefficient method of material distribution for the assembly line.The main purpose of this paper is from the angle of material distribution, by using themethod of documentary research and combination of theoretical analysis, to seek suitablematerial delivery mode for manufacturing assembly line based on pull production and itsconcrete method. The main work and achievements are as follows:Firstly, this paper carries on a theoretical review and related research summaryaround the question of material distribution theory on the assembly line. Secondly, thispaper analyzes problems existing in material distribution of assembly enterprise, materialsare classified, according to characteristics of different material, puts forward the deliverymethods of supplier delivery, buffer distribution and rough distribution, focus on buffermaterial distribution under pull production mode. Thirdly, this paper takes automobileassembly shop as research object, analyses problems existing in the current distribution,carries on the material demand analysis in the assembly lines, establishes a vehiclerouting model with time window. In order to facilitate the solution, the assemblyshop station is simplified, divided into station sections, and puts forward the buffermaterial Kan ban delivery scheme. Finally, the material delivery route model with bufferarea is proposed and the solution is found by the designed of simulated annealingalgorithm. By setting proper parameters, it can obtain satisfied solution of the modelquickly and effectively. Comparative results between the sample calculations and hybridparticle swarm optimization, genetic algorithms show that: The application of simulatedannealing algorithm can solve the material delivery route problem with buffer area in aquickly way and can provide a reference model and algorithm for manufacturingenterprises to find a solution on material supply problem.
