Cognitive Approach is an advanced second language teaching method,but there are few teaching cases applying it to children's Chinese teaching in Romania.Based on this,Primary school Avram Iancu was taken as the center in which the teaching practice of children's Chinese interest class was conducted under the guidance of Cognitive Approach.Through questionnaires,interviews and so on,this thesis explored the feasibility and effect of Chinese teaching for overseas children by Cognitive Approach,so as to provide some guidance for local Chinese teaching.Firstly,this thesis introduces the research background,research methods,research status at home and abroad and the basic theory of Cognitive Approach,and clarifies the purpose,background and significance of this research.Secondly the current teaching situation of Avram Iancu children's Chinese interest class from the perspectives of teachers,textbooks and students is introduced,so as to explore the feasibility of using Cognitive Approach in children's Chinese interest class in Cluj area.Based on this,taking Dumplings Are Delicious as an example,the teaching practice of vocabulary,Chinese characters and grammar is carried out in children's Chinese interest class under the guidance of Cognitive Approach.Through the analysis of the practice process and results,combined with the data from the students' questionnaire,homework feedback and teachers' interviews,it is proved that the teaching effect of children's Chinese interest class under the guidance of Cognitive Approach is outstanding.Lastly,this thesis reflects on the teaching experiment guided by Cognitive Approach and puts forward some suggestions,and hopes that Cognitive Approach canbenefit Chinese teaching to Romania children in practice.And eventually it gets popularized.
