With the increasing attention of the Chinese teaching cause,classroom teaching is of utmost importance that the entire teaching process.Classroom observation,as a feedback means that can directly enter the classroom and timely discovery teaching problems,has a positive impact on both the quality of classroom teaching and the professional development of teachers.In recent years,there have been more studies with qualitative observation and strong personal subjectivity.However,there are fewer studies using scientific and objective quantitative methods to observe the classroom,especially distant second language classrooms are utilized in quantitative observation.Therefore,in combination with further observation scales,I further improved the observation tools,and utilized quantitative observation as being the basis of the research to conduct quantitative empirical research on the Thai Chinese classroom.I sorted out the progress of classroom observation tools at home and abroad,which introduced in detail the COLT scale used throughout this article,which is the Communicative Orientation of Language Teaching.It is now the most cutting-edge and widely applicable classroom observation tool.It mainly examines the communicative interaction between teachers and students in the classroom.At the same time,the author also discussed in detail the operation methods of each observation item in the scale.In order to better demonstrate the scale,the author chose the Chinese language class of Senior Three in the Samoeng Pittayakom in Chiang Mai,Thailand as the observation object,and two Chinese teachers who taught the class: Chinese volunteers and Thai Chinese teachers.Comparative study in the classroom.The author observed and recorded the classrooms of the two teachers,and then utilized the designed and improved COLT scale for recording and analysis.In order to get more fair,objective and scientific data,the author conducted subsequent classroom practice observation two months after the first classroom practice of the two teachers,and finally the data results of each teacher's two practices Perform statistical integration.After the two practices,each item in the classroom observation scale ofvolunteer teachers and native teachers was separately listed and compared.Through the practical analysis of the COLT scale,based on the classroom observation data of the two teachers,the teaching problems such as the setting of classroom links and the arrangement of activities are discovered,which will help novice teachers of Chinese as a foreign language to improve the classroom and improve teachers.The quality of teaching can also help volunteers in Thailand to conduct teaching evaluation and reflection in actual teaching,to provide some targeted teaching suggestions for it,and make a small contribution to the world of China.
