With the progress of society and the development of feminism,it is gradually becoming the consensus of the society that paying attention to women,their status and their powerful role in social development,and this feminism trend of thought also permeates the field of education.The pursuit of gender education equality and the cultivation of students' awareness of gender equality have become another key issue in modern education.As an important part of civic and gender education,middle school history education should also respond to and promote this requirements.As an important tool of history education,history textbook should be an important field of reform in gender equality education.This urges us to sort out the current situation of female image describing in middle school history textbooks,clarify the problems,and provide reliable support for gender equality education.Therefore,I take the junior middle school history textbook compiled by official agencies as the starting point,analyze the problems of female image shaping,the causes of these problems,as well as the adverse effects.In order to promote the development of gender equality education,I try to put some suggestions for improving female image in middle school history textbooks,Focusing on the above concerns,this paper is divided into three parts to study the related issues of female figure describing in middle school history textbooks:The first part mainly describes the background and significance of this topic,and introduces the relevant research on the female image of middle school history textbooks at home and abroad,as well as the research ideas and methods of this paper.The second part takes the junior high school history textbook that was published by the people's education press in 2018 as an example to analyze the current situation of the shaping of female image in the current middle school textbooks,and to explore its shortcomings in the shaping of female image,mainly from three aspects that the low appearance frequency of women,the stereotype of women,and the neglect of women.The third part analyzes the reasons and possible influences of the current situation of female image shaping in middle school history textbooks.The old educational idea,thetraditional historiography and the existing shortcomings of history education,the social views of women,and the neglect in the process of compiling the textbook are all the reasons for the existing problems in the shaping of the female image in the history textbook.Such shaping of the female image will have a negative impact on the students' personal,especially on the cultivation of their historiography and gender awareness,as well as on the development of the society and the country.The forth part tries to put forward some suggestions for the shaping of the female image in the middle school history textbooks.It is mainly discussed from the change of educational concept,historical view and the improvement of the specific textbook compilation process in the macro-level.Through the research on the female role shaping in the history textbook,we find that the female role shaping in the history textbook of middle school is not perfect at present,and it needs to be improved constantly so that the history textbook of middle school can create a more real,complete female image that meets the need of gender equality awareness cultivating.This career needs the common concern of history education experts,teachers and students who all participate in it.Through the continuous improvement of the female image and other aspects,the history textbook really becomes the model of "cultivating morality and cultivating people".
