Literary classics are the crystallization of a nation's history and culture..With the continuous development of history,more and more people hope to improve their self-expression ability and linguistic level by reading these classics so as to enrich their cultural accomplishment and establish a correct outlook on life and values.Since the Chinese curriculum standards for compulsory education(2011)has emphasized the importance of reading classics,and in order to better cultivate students' awareness of independent reading,the Chinese textbook compiled by the ministry of education in 2016 reorganized the section of reading classics.Therefore,the reading teaching of classics which should be corresponded to the teaching materials has been paid much attention by educators.In order to better enable students to perceive the text as a whole and improve their interest in reading,the important role of the extended teaching of reading classics is more and more obvious.This study is based on the requirements of Chinese curriculum standard for compulsory education(2011).It takes 12 required-reading literary classics selected from the edited Chinese textbooks for junior high schools as the objects of research,analyzes the characteristics of their selections and the composition of the sections,uses questionnaire and interview comprehensively to deeply understand the current situation of reading guidance teaching for junior high schools' classics,and starts the investigation of relevant issues starting from the extended reading guidance teaching for junior high schools' classics.This paper analyzes the factors that hinder the extension of reading guidance for junior high school Chinese classics starting from the establishment of the target system of the extension of reading guidance for junior high school Chinese classics,probes into the implementation of the extension of reading guidance for junior high school Chinese classics and the methods of extension of teaching from the perspectives of students,teachers and teaching methods,so as to provide useful references and suggestions for the extension of reading guidance for junior high school Chinese classics.
