In recent years,it is common for children to suffer sexual assault in media reports,and the proportion of left-behind children to suffer sexual abuse is increasing.Under the influence of traditional culture such as “turning pale at the mention of sexuality”,the preventive education of sexual assault in our country has been in the missing stage.This paper takes the senior left-behind children of P primary school in W county of Gansu Province as the research object,collects data from left-behind children,their parents,teachers,staff of “three rural areas” and rural community through interview,questionnaire and observation,explores the understanding of the left-behind children to the sexual assault and the current situation of the left-behind children's preventive education of sexual assault and understands the needs of left-behind children in the preventive education of sexual assault,and then analyzes the necessity and feasibility of social work involved in the preventive education of sexual assault for left-behind children.Finally,under the guidance of Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory,gender theory and empowerment theory,we use the method of group work to carry out practical intervention,and use the method of process evaluation and result evaluation to evaluate the intervention effect.The results show that: first,the left-behind children in P primary school lack of the relevant knowledge about sexual assault,and lack of preventive education of sexual assault,which is reflected in the lack of family preventive education of sexual assault,school preventive education of sexual assault and community preventive education of sexual assault.Second,P primary school left-behind children's needs in the aspect of preventive education of sexual assault are mainly to understand the basic knowledge about sexuality,to accept the physical changes in adolescence,to establish the awareness of gender equality,to subvert gender stereotypes,to master the knowledge of prevention of sexual assault,to form the awareness of prevention of sexual assault and to improve the ability of prevention of sexual assault.Third,it is necessary and feasible for social work to intervene in the left-behind children's preventive education of sexual assault,which is recognized and supported by the family,school,community and staff of “three rural areas”.Fourth,the intervention of group work in the left-behind children's preventive education of sexual assault is not only advantageous but also effective.Through the comparison of the results of the before and after the questionnaire,the self-evaluation of the group members,the interview with the group members and their parents,and the evaluation of the author,the intervention effect of the group work is analyzed,and it is found that the effect of the group activity is good,which can meet the needs of left-behind children in the preventive education of sexual assault,help to prevent sexual assault on left-behind children,and promote the healthy and safe growth of left-behind children.
