An Investigation On The Current Situation Of Labor Education In Primary Schools

Labor education is an important way to cultivate students' comprehensive quality and it is also an important part of promoting students' all-round development.In the process of receiving labor education primary students can develop their work habits,work skills and love for work and the feelings of the work people,so that primary school students initially realize the importance of labor to their own society.The low effectiveness of primary school labor education in contemporary schools is still worrying.Labor education is listed as one of the five simultaneous education in the new era proposed by the national education conference,but the research and practice of it are not enough.Through literature review,questionnaire survey,in-depth interview and case analysis,the following problems are found in current elementary school labor education: 1.The labor quality of primary school students needs to be improved,which is mainly manifested as unclear identification of the connotation of labor education,incorrect labor attitude and lack of labor skills.2.The labor education lacks the status,which mainly manifests as labor education is marginalized.3.The labor of education lacks effective guarantee,which mainly manifests as the lack of the faculty of labor education,the inadequacy of labor education evaluation,the lack of labor education facilities and equipment,the shortage of time for labor education.4.Social resources for labor education need to be fully developed.After analysis,the main reasons for these problems are: 1.The influence of incorrect labor values.2.The negative effects of exam-oriented education.3.The weak of home-school effective collaboration.4.The imperfection of the labor education guarantee system.Combined with the related research on labor education at home and abroad,the following suggestions and countermeasures are proposed.1.Value as the first :to set up the correct concept of labor education.We should discard the wrong labor values,strengthen the education in the correct way of thinking about labor and rebuilt thescientific labor values.2.Safeguard as foundation: to improve the mechanism for guaranteeing labor education,including improving the labor education policy guarantee system,building a comprehensive labor education system in schools,attaching importance to the evaluation of the implementation effect of labor education,strengthening the supervision and evaluation of school labor education,ensuring the funds for labor education activities.3.School as core: to carry out vivid and effective labor education.Schools should specify the objectives of labor education,design labor education curriculum scientifically,train labor education teachers,carry out labor education activities effectively,fully develop labor education resources,complete and strengthen labor education facilities,improve the evaluation mechanism.4.Cooperation as the key: to form home-school effective collaboration.Homes and schools should keep the same labor education concept,take action to maintain consistency,ensure enough time for labor activities,set a good example for students.
