According to Ministry of Education issued the opinions on comprehensively deepening the curriculum reform and implementing the basic task of strengthen moral education and cultivate people,which put forward six core mathematical literacy,including mathematical modeling.This undoubtedly establishes the important position of mathematical modeling in the mathematics teaching of compulsory education.As a necessary ability,mathematical modeling requires students to master the use of mathematical knowledge and solve practical problems.First of all,students' mathematical modeling is conducive to improving students' ability to solve problems;second,having the ability of mathematical modeling is conducive to developing students' mathematical thinking;finally,being able to build mathematical models and successfully solve practical problems is one of the ultimate goals of mathematics education.This paper studies the training of mathematical modeling ability in primary schools in suburban area.Some students and four teachers from three different branch schools(including urban,rural and rural areas)of C center school in X district of K city were selected to carry out the research by questionnaire,interview,classroom observation,test and case analysis.Through the analysis of the results of questionnaire,interview and pre-test papers,it is found that the current situation of primary school mathematical modeling ability in urban-rural areas is: Students' modeling ability is very weak,and students do not have the ability to explain in all aspects of mathematical modeling,which leads to the problem can not be solved finally.The investigation and analysis found that the main reason for this situation is from teachers and students themselves,and the secondary reason is the lack of family education: Teachers' awareness of modeling teaching is biased;students themselves have obstacles in mathematical modeling ability;and parents cannot guide their children's awareness of mathematical modeling ability because of the limitations of education conditions.Through the teacher's conscious infiltration of the model idea in the classroom teaching according to the six steps of mathematical modeling,according to the division standard of Xu binyan's six levels of mathematical modeling ability,the results of the pre-test and post test are analyzed and found that the overall level of students' modeling ability has improved.This shows that there are effective training strategies for the cultivation of mathematical modeling ability in primary schools in urban-rural areas: ?Elaborately creating problem situations to stimulate students' interest in learning.?Put forward reasonable problem hypothesis and build a successful mathematical model.?Students take the initiative to participate in,cooperate,exchange and explore.?Timely use of auxiliary means to build a clear mathematical model.?The final goal of the test model is to apply the knowledge.?Multiple evaluation and encouraging research.?Strengthen teachers' understanding of modeling teaching and improve teachers' teaching ability.The seven strategies are implemented in teachers and students because they are easy to operate in classroom teaching.In the future,the author will continue to explore the training strategies on family.
