Reading is an important way to collect and process information,understand the world,develop thinking,and gain an aesthetic experience.Reading teaching is a dialogue between teachers and students about texts,and it is of great significance to continue to stimulate students' interest in Chinese reading,cultivate Chinese reading ability,and improve pupils' core Chinese literacy.Based on relevant domestic and foreign literatures,the related core concepts were defined,and the theoretical basis and practical significance of reading teaching were clarified.And then the middle and senior grades of the experimental primary school affiliated to G University were used as research objects.Questionnaires,interviews and other research methods were used to gain an in-depth understanding of the current situation of Chinese reading teaching in middle and senior grades of experimental primary school affiliated to G University from the aspects of reading teaching attitude,reading teaching objectives,reading teaching methods and teaching evaluation.The research results show that the problems in the teaching of Chinese reading in the middle and senior grades of the primary school affiliated to G University include: reading teaching attitude is improper,focusing on the result goal and ignoring the procedural goal;the reading teaching method is too simple,mainly using the lecture method;the evaluation subject of reading teaching is too simple,lacking pertinence of evaluation content.The problems of Chinese reading teaching in the middle and senior grades of the primary school affiliated to G university include the large number of students in a single class,the mechanical and repeated teaching methods,the disharmony between teachers and students,and the influence of the traditional educational environment.In addition,this research put forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions for the problems in the reading teaching of the primary school affiliated to G University,including controlling the student number of class,increasing experiential teaching,improving the relationship between teachers and students,and diversifying teaching evaluation,so as to further improve the quality of Chinese reading teaching in the middle and senior grades of primary school.
