With the progress of society and the development of science and technology,STEAM education emerges as the times require.This new interdisciplinary education mode provides support for the cultivation of innovative talents.In recent years,STEAM education has become a hot research direction in the field of education in China.There are a lot of relevant theoretical and practical research results,but there are not many theoretical and practical researches on the localization of STEAM education.Therefore,this thesis studies the practice of STEAM curriculum in junior high school based on traditional culture.Through literature research,investigation,action research and measurement,based on STEAM education and project-based learning,and referring to the situational analysis mode of curriculum design,this study designed and implemented the STEAM course of Modern Shadow Play based on traditional culture,which is in line with the cognitive and knowledge level of secondary school students.The course takes the production and performance of Shadow Play as the main content of the project,which is divided into four project stages: "project launch-Chinese Lantern shadow","project workshop-Shadow Play craftsman","project workshop-app programming" and "project production-perfect show".In the Shadow Play art appreciation link of "project launch-Chinese Lantern shadow",a miniature "immersive Shadow Play art experience Museum" has been set up.By using modern technology such as AR and VR,studentscan immerse themselves in the beauty of traditional culture.In "project workshop-app programming",Shadow Play is combined with programming,the traditional music of gongs and drums of Shadow Play is replaced by the mobile app designed and developed by students themselves,and digital game is introduced into the app inventor programming teaching link for students to learn the basic programming knowledge in the way of playing maze game,so as to truly achieve "learning while playing".Through the quantitative analysis of course practice,it is proved that the implementation of STEAM curriculum in secondary school based on traditional culture is feasible,and the effective implementation of the course can improve the creativity of students to a certain extent.At the same time,the Modern Shadow Play course is also the practice and implementation of aesthetic education.This study summarizes the methods and effective ways of STEAM education in secondary school based on traditional culture,enriches STEAM curriculum resources for secondary school,and at the same time,helps the inheritance and development of fine traditional Chinese culture.
