In July 2016,China's State Council issued a document that "innovation era" has come,and announced that innovation is not only the unique ability of mankind,but also inexhaustible motive force with which we walk in the forefront of the times.It strongly urged to strengthen the training of innovative talents.It is the best way to internalize knowledge and develop abilities through practice and in the meanwhile,to learn knowledge and to promote innovation in practice.High school information technology is a highly operational curriculum,because it provides a reliable platform to cultivate the innovative ability of students,especially about the program design module.But at present,most of the high school programming teaching is focusing on teaching Professor Visual Basic language,emphasizing explanation of the test center and test practice before exams in order to pass academic examination of information technology,so it does no good stimulating students' interest in learning,cultivating students' innovative ability,and it does not make full use of such a platform.First of all,the STEAM education concept is concerned with the students 'experience in the classroom learning process,emphasizing the practical connection between classroom learning and life,emphasizing the ability of students' collaboration and multi-disciplinary knowledge,so that students can develop realistic and creative work in programming design.Secondly,App Inventor acts as a representative of the visual programming tool to implement the development process in the form of a drag-and-drop block that frees students from complex programming rules and techniques so that students can spend more time realizing innovations so as to cultivate innovation ability.Therefore,this paper,based on the characteristics of STEAM education,App Inventor platform and the innovation ability,designed the "Practical Practice Course for High School App Inventor for STEAM Education" and related teaching resources,and h conducted practice in high school with case show,hoping to provide reference to related researchers.First of all,this paper investigated and analyzed the demand of innovation ability of senior high school students in the form of questionnaire survey.Secondly,it analyzed the constituent elements of innovation ability,the core idea of STEAM education,the characteristics of App Inventor platform,discussed the fit of App Inventor platform and STEAM education,and analyzed the advantages of App Inventor under the guidance of STEAM educational philosophy to cultivate students' innovation ability.Thirdly,on the basis of the previous analysis,this paper designed the curriculum from the aspects of curriculum nature,curriculum idea,curriculum goal,curriculum learning environment analysis,curriculum content,curriculum teaching structure and curriculum assessment,and developed relevant teaching resourcesFinally,the paper conducted action studies based on the actual situation of the school and analyzed the results,the action proved that the course is conducive to cultivating students' innovative ability to some extent,and won the student's recognition and welcome.
