As a special group of kindergarten teachers,male kindergarten teachers have always been an important topic in the field of preschool education.At present,most of the researches are focused on the importance of male teachers for early childhood and reasons for the lack and loss of male kindergarten teachers.There is a lack of studies about how to promote the adaptation and growth of male kindergarten teachers from the perspective of professional development.Based on the theories of teacher professional development stages,this paper uses questionnaire,interview and field observation as the methods of narrative research.According to the investigation of the early career stage of teacher B,a kindergarten male teacher in Xiamen city,this paper mainly analyze the influencing factors of the survival and development for the male kindergarten teachers,and expresses the demand and confusion of male kindergarten teachers for their professional development.Through the analysis of the individual case,some suggestions and practical strategies are given to improve male kindergarten teacher development.
