Preschool education,as the initial stage of the national educational system,has always been attached great importance by the state,and is now in the golden age of development.Although male preschool teachers account for a small minority in the preschool education team,it is undeniable that their professional development status has a positive role in attracting more men to join the preschool field,and has a significant impact on the teacher level of the whole preschool education team.However,at present,there are few researches focusing on the professional development of male kindergarten teachers,and the demand for professional development is even less.The author hopes to provide theoretical support and practical suggestions for promoting the professional development needs of male kindergarten teachers by investigating the specific content and difficulties encountered in the process of meeting the professional development needs of such minority kindergarten teachers,so as to improve the overall quality of preschool education team and promote the steady development of preschool education.This study adopts qualitative research method,selects four male preschool teachers as the research object,uses interview,observation and physical analysis and other research methods to investigate the current situation of their professional development needs,summarizes the similarities and differences of their professional development needs,and analyzes the influencing factors of their professional development needs,According to the influencing factors to put forward targeted suggestions and countermeasures,to provide some enlightenment for male kindergarten teachers to meet their own professional development needs.It is found that the characteristics of professional development needs of the four male kindergarten teachers are not only common,but also different.The common features include four young teachers who have made clear the contents of their professional development needs,and use similar ways to meet their own professional development needs,and the internal and external professional development needs are met to a certain extent;differences are reflected in the driving factors,content direction,satisfaction degree and realistic difficulties of professional development needs.At the same time,the factors affecting the professional development needs of young teachers include not only the professional and educational background of teachers themselves,the current professional development stage,self professional expectations and family aspects,but also related to the “hard”,“soft” environment provided by kindergartens,the input of government departments,the requirements of educational administrative departments,the requirements of parents and support and the male to bear more social responsibilities.Finally,according to the characteristics and influencing factors of the professional development needs of four young male teachers,the author puts forward that the "three-party joint efforts" of society,kindergarten and male teachers are needed to promote the satisfaction of their professional development needs.
