At present,the main social contradiction in our country has been transformed into the contradiction between the growing needs of the people for a better life and the unbalanced and inadequate development,which is also in line with the current situation of music education in our country.The Music Curriculum Standard(2011 Edition)emphasizes that student-oriented,respect students'subjectivity,and put forward specific requirements for each paragraph in the performance part,paying more attention to the status of instrumental music teaching.Through the investigation of instrumental music teaching in primary school,it is found that how to solve the students' needs for instrumental music learning and the contradiction between the needs in instrumental music learning and the development of instrumental music teaching are the problems faced by instrumental music teaching in primary and secondary schools in China.Maslow's theory of hierarchy of needs is a theory that studies the needs of people in many aspects.This theory is widely used in various fields,such as management and education,and is in line with the student-oriented and student-oriented concept emphasized in the new curriculum standard.Exploring the teaching of instrumental music in primary school from Maslow's theory of hierarchy of needs is of positive significance to implement the concept of student-oriented and improve the teaching quality of instrumental music in primary school.Using the research method of combining theory with practice,the author first gives a detailed overview of the concept of Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory and the importance of instrumental music teaching in primary schools.Secondly,combining Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory with primary school instrumental music teaching,this paper discusses the significance of Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory application in primary school instrumental music teaching.Thirdly,taking Niu Chang Primary School in Hohhot as a practical unit,through questionnaire survey,teacher interview and case analysis,we can understand the satisfaction of students' needs in the study of clarinet,and analyze the reasons why the needs are not satisfied.Finally,this paper discusses the effective method of teaching instrumental music in primary school from Maslow's theory of hierarchy of needs.The development of learning provides feasible advice.
