Folk Culture,the culture created by the masses in their production practices in the folk life,is a reflection of the traditions,customs and habits of a country,region or a nation.As an important part of our traditional culture,folk culture influences one generation after generation by its unique style and profound experience and people are enchanted by the charm of the folk culture and experience the pleasure brought by the traditional culture which are passed down from generation after generation in our country.Folk culture is one of the styles of the spiritual treasury of people and also the the wisdom of the laboring people.With the development of curriculum reform,Adding folk culture to the official Chinese textbook in junior school has become imperative.Taking Chinese curriculum as a carrier and integrating the folk culture with it is the need of enhancing the literacy of the students,the need of inheriting and publicizing the traditional culture,the need of establishing the students' world outlook,outlook on life and the values,the need of cultivating the students' national confidence and cohesion.Three junior middle schools in Xingtai are selected as the respondents.The setting of folk culture curriculum in the three schools and the atmosphere construction of folk culture are surveyed randomly by questionnaires.The personal knowledge accumulation of folk culture by individual teachers,the teacher's cognitive value on folk culture,the access to folk culture and its teaching methods are the key-point investigations.The investigation shows that there are limitations in the folk culture teaching and the accesses to the acquisition of folk culture knowledge.Firstly,the folk culture curriculum is not valued by schools.The opening and setting of the course are deficient.The atmosphere of folk culture construction is not strong enough.Secondly,the teachers' personal knowledge accumulation on folk culture is deficient.The folk culture literacy and The cultural identity on folk culture should be enhanced.The teaching methods are not diverse and the teaching goals are not targeted well.The personal control over the teaching points should also be promoted.Thirdly,the students' folk culture knowledge is deficient and their learning methods are a bit monotonous.Taking the above into account,some specific suggestions are given.Firstly,in order to strengthen the construction atmosphere of folk culture,schools should develop proposals for the construction of folk culture in accordance with the local folk culture characteristics,open specialized curriculum for folk culture,strengthen the construction atmosphere of folk culture,add the class construction to the performance appraisal system,enhance the literacy of the teachers and promote the class construction on folk culture.Secondly,teachers should actively enhance their own folk culture literacy,fully realize the importance of the teaching on folk culture and explore the new teaching methods in their teaching practice.Thirdly,each student should realize that the folk culture is very important to strengthen their emotional experiences and promote the traditional culture to be inherited and developed.The students should actively accumulate the related knowledge,join the related mass organization on folk culture,participate in practical activities and enhance the awareness of folk culture.
