At present,the driving force of world economic growth has shifted from factor-driven,investment-driven to innovation-driven.Since entering the era of knowledge economy,with the strong support of the government,universities have gradually become an important source of innovation in the national innovation system,and together with the industry constitute a spiral chain that promotes innovation,mutual promotion and symbiotic development.In order to explore the relationship between university and industry,the dynamic mechanism and the evolution process,this study selects the university engineering and technology subjects which closely related to industry as the representative,under the guidance of the “triple-helix theory“,and based on the perspective of knowledge flow,along with two main lines of the influence between the development of industry and engineering and technology subjects,through the literature on the development of these subjects and industrial development in China,as well as the data of university's graduates,scientific research,technology transfer and research funding in different periods,combined with historical background and changes in national policies,analyze the main characteristics and dynamic mechanisms of the relationship between industry and university in this two stages from 1949 to the end of the 20 th century and the 21 st century.And further think about how to promote the innovation and development of industry by strengthen the engineering and technology subjects.The main conclusions of this study are as follows: 1.Before the 21 st century,China's government-industry-university relationship mainly showed the characteristics of the “national intervention model“ and gradually transformed into the “triple-helixinnovation model.“ The interaction between universities in China is carried out under the national planning system.Through the cultivation of talents,the university transports a large number of talents to the industry in the form of invisible knowledge flow.On the other hand,it undertakes scientific research to produce new knowledge and provide technical support for industrial development.The industry promotes the further development of university disciplines through research funding and the creation of new professions.2.Since the beginning of this century,China has entered the stage of “Triple helix innovation model”.The government,universities and industry have formed three relatively independent innovation chains,which promote each other through deeper and closer cooperation and form a spiraling innovation pattern.On one hand,the university continues to play a more important role in personnel training and scientific research,and the rapid development of the industry has spawned new subjects,inspired the transformation of university personnel training models and more active participation in university scientific research.Come,in turn,deeply affects the development of university disciplines.3.In the “national intervention model” stage,the government is the main source of power to promote innovation.There are still relatively strict boundaries between universities and industries,and the interaction between the two remains at a shallow level.In the “triple-helix innovation model“,the boundaries of government,university and industry have merged,and the interaction has become more extensive and deep.The interaction between the three subjects has become the source of innovation.
