As an evaluation index of students'growth experience and a prediction index of the quality of higher education,learning engagement affects the quality of talent training.In the process of learning,students'attitude towards the future time also exerts a subtle influence on their thoughts and actions.What is the learning engagement of current college students?How to improve college students'learning engagement?What is the impact of future time concept on current learning?The study of these problems has both theoretical and practical significance.In order to discuss the future time perspective factors and time management self-monitoring factors how to influence learning engagement and explore the path to improve college students'learning engagement,select 885 college studengts from five different universities in Nanjing,conduct questionnaire survey and than do statistical analysis.Results:?1?The score of future time perspective is higher than the midpoint,the score of far-goal orientation factor is the highest,and the score of the purpose consciousness factor is the lowest.The score of time management self-monitoring is higher than the midpoint,the score of openness factor is the highest,and the score of initiative factor is the lowest.The score of learning engagement is higher than the midpoint,the score of dedication factor is the highest,and the score of energy factor is the lowest.?2?The future time perspective and learning engagement are significantly different in grade and major,the time management self-monitoring is significantly different in gender,grade and major.?3?The correlation analysis find that future time perspective,time management self-monitoring and learning engagement are significantly positive correlation,stepwise multivariate regression find that behavioral commitment and purpose of consciousness in future time perspective,openness,effectiveness and initiative in time management self-monitoring can significantly predict learning engagement,the prediction model is:Y=1.12X1+0.34M1+0.51M2+0.40M3+0.65X2+42.91.X1 for behavioral commitment,X2 for the purpose of consciousness,M1for openness,M2 for effectiveness,M3 for initiative.?4?Time management self-monitoring plays a part in mediating the influence of future time perspective and learning engagement.Conclusion:?1?College students have a good level of future time perspective.College students show positive personality traits in terms of future time concept,but their future goals are vague and their ability to make specific plans for future goals needs to be improved.?2?College students have a good level of time management self-monitoring.They try to explore and summarize learning methods suitable for them in their study,but they lack initiative and self-consciousness,so they need to improve their awareness of implementing plans into specific actions.?3?College students have a good level of learning engagement,they recognize the usefulness of learning,but they have a low level of energy engagement and mental toughness in the learning process,so they need to promote their learning durability.?4?In learning activities,college students'future time perspective and time management self-monitoring have a significant positive impact on learning engagement.College students'future behavioral commitment and purpose of consciousness in future time perspective,their openness,effectiveness and initiative in time management self-monitoring are the specific factors affecting learning engagement.?5?In order to improve learning engagement,in terms of future time awareness,college students should set up a positive concept of future time and carry out goal planning and specific actions through career planning and training.In terms of time management and monitoring,college students should reasonably set learning objectives,actively implement time plans,and choose feasible time management methods to improve the effectiveness of time utilization.
