In China, student counselors, the important part of the teaching staff in colleges and universities, play a crucial role in the overall development of college students. Therefore, academic research on the counselor group continues to grow and the research paradigm also presents a diverse trend. However,we also note that the part-time counselors for graduate students,as a significant element of counselors group, show a trend of marginalization in academic research, which means that researchers often treat them as full-time counselors and ignore their personality traits. The author,as a part-time counselor for graduate students, deeply realizes the contradiction and perplexity of this group in his own experience. On the basis of some representative events that the author experienced in the part-time counselor's work, this study will use narrative research method to elaborate and analyze the representative events.Main analysis data includes my own work records, life records, and communication with various groups(teachers, colleagues, students, etc.)in work and life.In this study,"I" is both a researcher and a subject. In the process of elaboration and analysis, this study explores the causes and mechanisms of the conflicts among the representative events—— role conflict.By classification,it can be divided into the interrole conflict caused by the dual status of teacher and student and the intra-roleconflict caused by the dual standards of expectation and requirement.Based on the analysis of the above research data,it is found that the main manifestations of interrole conflict are the obstacle of space-time conversion, the confusion of communication mode and the tearing of relationship mode.Intra-role conflict mainly includes the mismatch of personal ideal and practical ability, the inconsistency of external expectation and self-cognition and the incompatibility of realistic work and career planning.Based on the cause of role conflict, the author has gradually explored a set of coping style —— self-mediation on the basis of positive psychology. That is,starting from the nature of different types of conflicts, the theory of positive psychology is combined with the actual situation, and the psychological adjustment is carried out to resolve the conflicts of different roles in work and study.Based on the theory of positive personality and emotional experience in positive psychology, starting from strengthening self-role identity and sense of substitution and improving the positive emotions and interest attitudes of the subjective role, the paper organically combines two aspects to build a positive and healthy identity of the counselors for graduate students,so as to minimize the role conflict. Thus, after going through the process from difficulty to positive, the author completed the role transformation under the intervention andadjustment of this positive psychology, and the two roles identities also went from separation to integration and from adaptation to identification.Based on the results of the author's own analysis, the Fourth Chapter of the study put forward some suggestions on how to build the positive psychology of the part-time counselors for graduate students. At the same time,we should enhance the construction of positive psychology and external environment of the part-time counselors for graduate students,in order to perfect the relevant system and call for more humanistic care to the part-time counselors for graduate students. |
