Mathematics is a science that studies quantitative relationships and spatial forms.Graphics and geometry play an important role in the teaching of mathematics in elementary schools. Its teaching plays an important role in the cultivation of students' spatial concepts, geometric intuition, reasoning ability and application awareness. It is also a student An important way to understand your own living space.Starting from the problem-based learning teaching model to study the teaching of graphics and geometry can expand the theoretical perspective of the teaching research of graphics and geometry, and provide a new way of thinking for the teaching of graphics and geometry. The author uses the literature method and case analysis method to analyze the classroom teaching of graphics and geometry, and finds that the current problems in graphics and geometry teaching can be summarized into teachers and students. From the teacher's perspective, they neglected the students' real life when creating the situation, and it was difficult to guide and doubt the students' learning needs;from the student's perspective, the primary students lacked autonomy in the process of learning and inquiry,Did not fully experience the process of observation,thinking,imagination,hands-on operation and autonomous expression. The reasons for the problems are analyzed through interviews and documentation methods, because the teachers ignore the students' experience process when designing the teaching goals, and the selection and application of the teaching methods do not pay attention to the students' autonomy, and the teachers' own teaching abilities There is also a gap between the new curriculum reform and the requirements for geometry teaching.Based on these three reasons, these problems have arisen in the teaching of graphics and geometry."Problem-based learning" as a teaching model relying on real situations and problems as the core provides a way to improve the teaching of graphics and geometry. The feasibility of this approach is reflected in three aspects: first,Problem-based learning The theory meets the new requirements of mathematics curriculum standards;second, the content of textbooks in the field of graphics and geometry shows the need for problem exploration;third, the teaching process of the problem-based learning model meets the requirements of the development of students' spatial concepts. From the perspective of improving teaching,we propose suggestions for improving graphics and geometry teaching based on problem-based learning: creating problem situations that are close to students' life experience;elaborately designing problems that stimulate students' imagination and exploration;and deepening perceptual experience through exploration activities. In order to improve the problems in the teaching of graphics and geometry through this teaching mode, and to promote the development of students' spatial thinking ability and problem-solving ability, the purpose of improving the teaching of graphics and geometry is achieved.
