In the digital society,new media has already surpassed the influence of traditional media and played an indispensable role in college students' study and life.As college students become more and more dependent on new media,the information of new media with varying degrees of good and bad influences their thoughts,attitudes and behaviors.Therefore,it is particularly necessary to improve college students' new media literacy.It can be said that the research on the issue of college students' new media literacy is not only the need to promote the overall development of college students,but also the need for social progress.It is of vital significance to enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education,promote the healthy development of the new media environment,and build a harmonious society.Based on the related knowledge of ideological and political education and media theory,and combined with the theoretical achievements of communication,education,Marxist theory and other disciplines,this paper conducted a survey of college students from five universities in Sichuan province by means of questionnaire survey and interview.By investigating the current situation,problems and causes of college students' new media literacy,this paper proposes the ways to improve college students' new media literacy from the perspective of ideological and political education.The first part is the introduction.This part recommends the research's background and significance.In addition,this part also carries on the literature review to the domestic and foreign research present situation,proposed the research key and difficult points,the research method and the innovation point.The second part is about the basic concept and theory.This part mainly defines the new media literacy and its related concepts,and analyzes the relationship between new media literacy of college students and ideological and political education.This article's mainly theoretical basis are the communication theory of ideological and political education,Xi Jinping's important discourse on omnimedia,media survival theory and Habermas' s communicative behavior theory.The third part is the empirical research on the current situation of college students' new media literacy.According to the survey results,the current college students' new media literacy is generally good,but some college students still have problems such as unreasonable use of new media,insufficient information management ability of new media,irrational participation behavior of new media,and vague legal awareness of new media.The fourth part mainly analyzes the causes of the existing problems in the new media literacy of college students.From the perspective of colleges and universities,the lack of new media literacy of college teachers,the insufficient emphasis on the education of new media literacy of college students,and the improper use of the carrier of new media literacy education are the important reasons for the problems of new media literacy of college students.From the perspective of social environment,the utilitarianism of social and economic environment,the dilution of social atmosphere of new media literacy education,and the negative orientation of new media environment are also important factors affecting college students' new media literacy.From the perspective of the government,the insufficient guarantee of government policies and the inefficient supervision and management of the new media environment are the important reasons for the existing problems of college students' new media literacy.From the perspective of college students themselves,the simple thinking of college students,the lack of self-education intention and the lack of collective consciousness are also important factors.The fifth part discusses the ways to improve college students' new media literacy from the perspective of ideological and political education.To solve the problems of college students' new media literacy,from the perspective of college education,teachers' new media literacy level should be improved,the main channel function of ideological and political theory courses should be brought into play,and the carrier of activities and management should be used scientifically.From the perspective of social environment construction,it is necessary to build an orderly economic environment and enhance the social atmosphere of media literacy education.From the perspective of the government's role,it is necessary to strengthen the advocacy and guarantee of new media literacy education for college students and improve the supervision and management efficiency of new media environment.From the perspective of college students' self-education,college students should take the initiative to participate in social practice,enhance theoretical learning and improve their sense of social responsibility.To some extent,this paper enriches the content of ideological and political education,expands the research object of new media literacy,and is conducive to improving the new media literacy of college students and the effectiveness of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.However,due to the limited level,this study still has some shortcomings.In the empirical analysis,although the author has consulted a lot of materials and tried his best to improve the questionnaire,the questionnaire maynot fully and profoundly reflect all the problems existing in the new media literacy of college students.In the discussion of the path,although the author tries to construct an effective path for the improvement of college students' new media literacy,he may also think too much because of his insufficient level.Therefore,it is hoped that it can be improved continuously in the follow-up research.
