With the rapid development of modern communication technology, the influence of the media is expanding and closely linked to the lives of everyone. However, the media is a "double-edged sword" that has a positive impact on people's work and life, but also has some negative effects. In the face of diverse and complex media environment, how to actively use the media, effectively resist media dependence, resist the influence of bad media information, and make full use of media resources to improve themselves and participate in society, etc.for university students whose world outlook, outlook on life and values are forming. They are all basic qualities that should be cultivated.Combining the current situation of media literacy education in China and the existing research results on media literacy of college students,we use some college students in Shaanxi Province as the survey object to analyze the media literacy status of college students by means of online questionnaire survey,in order to use accurate and detailed data.To grasp the status quo of college students' media literacy.Through the survey,it is found that under the environment of diversified media and diversified thoughts, college students can adapt to the media environment as a whole, such as high frequency of media use and high enthusiasm for the use of media resources. However,as far as the specific media behavior is concerned, the lack of media literacy of college students is manifested in: excessive dependence on the media and separation from the real world;extreme consumption,a bad mentality;limitations on the perception and choice of the media;lack of sufficient judgment on the media and Vigilance;vague understanding of media ethics, blindly conducting media information dissemination, etc. There are some reasons for the problems in the media literacy of college students in the new era: First, the level of media literacy of college students is low,and they need to learn and improve further.Such as college students' social cognition and social psychology;media participation, feedback awareness is weak;lack of understanding of their own media literacy.Second, families pay too much attention to their children's academic performance and neglect media literacy education. For example, families do not play their due role in media literacy education;there are misunderstandings in media literacy education;parents do not have sufficient media knowledge and skills.Third, colleges and universities still have a lot of deficiencies in media literacy education. For example, colleges and universities lack of attention and practice for college students' media literacy education;lack of media literacy education resources, weak theoretical research;media literacy education does not form a sound teaching management system.Fourth, the complexity of the social environment hinders the development of college students' media literacy. For example, the negative impact of the market economy, the corresponding safeguard measures are not perfect;the government's lack of attention to media literacy issues;the lack of development of various media itself, and the lack of media management mechanisms. The specific countermeasures for the development of college students' media literacy in the new era are: college students should strengthen self-education and improve their personal qualities;colleges and universities should implement media literacy education and comprehensively cultivate talents;parents should improve their media literacy and give play to the interactive education of family communities;the government should shoulder the heavy responsibility To promote the development of media literacy education;all sectors of society should participate in media literacy education and provide a good realistic environment.
