Research On The Open Teacher Training Model In Vietnam

As a developing socialist country,Vietnam takes "education development" as its first national policy.With the continuous development of various political,economic,cultural and educational undertakings,the aims and requirements of the Vietnamese education community for the pre-service training of primary and secondary school teachers have gradually increased,and the teacher education model is constantly changing.This study is based on the analysis of Vietnam's teacher education related policies and practices.It reviews the development process of Vietnamese teacher education.It is divided into three historical stages: French colony,national independence to national reunification,and reform and opening up.Under these three historical stages,it specifically sorted out the features of pre-service teachers' cultivation about period of French colonial rule,post-independence country,northern liberation period,anti-American war period,post-national unification,since reform and opening up,and after entering the 21 st century.Entering this stage,Vietnam's economy and society have further developed,and the continuous development of education has promoted the reform of the teacher education model.In view of some historical problems in the closed teacher education model of traditional Vietnamese normal schools,Vietnam has implemented a series of open policies for teacher education.In the new era,Vietnam has faced a new situation and has broadened the path of pre-employment training for primary and secondary school teachers,that is,through the normal education system and the two ways of supplementary "post-bachelor" teacher education under the union of comprehensive universities and normal universities.This article takes Hanoi National University of Education as an example of the cultivation of normal and multi-disciplinary students in primary and secondary schools.In conjunction with Vietnam 's 2013 “Education and Cultivation Plan for University Graduates Who Want to Be High School Teachers”,the above two training paths are separately explored,including the requirements of various links such as curriculum setting,teaching practice and completion method,and so on.Looking at the development process of teacher education in Vietnam and the current practice of teacher education,it can be seen that in the process of the continuous opening of the teacher education model,Vietnam has continuously improved the pre-service training level for primary and secondary school teachers.In the 21 st century,in order to achieve "socialization,modernization,standardization and democratization" of teacher education goals,Vietnam has continuously updated the pre-employment training goals and systems of primary and secondary school teachers in light of its own reality,and its teacher education model has been continuously opened up.Teacher education in Vietnam has been reformed to meet the needs of the country's educational development,and an open teacher education model of “mainly teacher colleges and comprehensive university participation” has been promoted in pre-service teacher training.The model has the following characteristics: it is mainly based on the normal education system and supplemented by the comprehensive university education system;based on the development needs of the country's education,it is open to adhere to the normal characteristics of normal universities;the comprehensive degree of integration of normality is weak and the process of opening is slow.The Vietnamese teacher education model seeks change in its exploration.There are some advantages and disadvantages in its open teacher education model.
