Homework is an important part of teaching and an extension of classroom teaching.which is conducive to achieving educational goals and realizing educational value.Therefore,homework plays a very important role.At present,the research on biology education focuses more on the teaching skills,but there is still lacking research on homework design.Moreover,there are some problems in the current homework,and the teaching goals cannot be well achieved.With the deepening of curriculum reform and the promulgation and implementation of new curriculum standards,higher requirements have been put forward for the cultivation of students,so teachers need to change their concepts,actively study the mode of homework,and play the greatest role of homework in the development of students.On the basis of understanding the current status and existing problems of homework in high school biology,this paper puts forward the idea of unit homework design,aiming to discuss the basis,principles and ideas of unit homework design,so as to play the role of unit homework in cultivating students' biology core quality,and to provide reference for teachers in the teaching front line.In order to understand the current status of high school biology homework,this study surveyed the students and teachers of the senior three biology elective class.For the students,a questionnaire survey method was adopted.The questionnaire involved six dimensions of students' attitude towards homework,homework volume and difficulty,homework type,homework content,homework purpose and function and homework evaluation.The interview method was used to know the teacher's current homework and their views on the unit homework.The survey results show that the current homework has problems such as single content and form,incomplete understanding of homework function and insignificant feedback.On the basis of understanding the present situation of high school biology homework through student questionnaire and teacher interview,combined with related literature at home and abroad,this study integrates constructivism theory,multiple intelligence theory and proximal development zone theory into the research of unit homework design,clarified the basis and principles of unit homework design,concrete including biology course standard,teaching requirements,teaching materials,students learning four basis and subjectivity,integrity,diversity,hierarchy and validity of the five principles.Unit homework design should be centered on the established unit homework goal,reasonably arrange the type and difficulty of the homework,and ensure the logic and hierarchy of the homework.According to the above theoretical content,this study designed the unit homework case of "biological community succession"、"Steady state of the ecosystem" and "genetic engineering",and provided some case analysis and case evaluation suggestions.At last,the use of unit homework was investigated by interview.Students think that unit homework can attract their attention,arouse their enthusiasm for learning;agree that unit homework can help them consolidate knowledge systematically and improve students' thinking,operation,exploring and other abilities;help them realize the leap from theoretical knowledge to practical application.The learning method changed from passive to active,which cultivates the core quality of biology.The research conclusions of this paper are as follows:firstly,there are some drawbacks in the current biology homework in high school,which need to be solved urgently,involving the form,function and evaluation of homework.Including single content and form,homework is more focused on consolidating and applying functions and the feedback effect is not obvious.Secondly,the basis,principles and ideas of unit homework design clarified in this study are reasonable to some extent,which conform to the implementation requirements of curriculum standards and teaching requirements,and conform to the development direction of curriculum reform.Finally,students agree that the unit homework plays a positive role in helping them to consolidate their knowledge,improve their ability and develop a sense of social responsibility.
