Considering the background of great importance attached to inherit Chinese excellent traditional culture and establish cultural confidence,Chinese painting,as an excellent traditional culture,has been taken more seriously by Chinese primary and secondary schools on account of the art education.Although Chinese painting is an essential part of art education at secondary schools,there actually exist some problems such as a shortage of the class-period and material resources and learning contents far from life,as the consequence of it,the educational value of Chinese painting cannot to be fully realized.Junior school students are in the important period to transform from childhood and adulthood,which is also a critical period to cultivate cultural confidence and establish cultural identity.Furthermore,Chinese painting,due to its unique artistic characteristics and educational value,plays an important role in the overall physical and mental development and personality cultivation for junior high school students.Learning Chinese painting is not only conducive to the inheritance and development of the excellent Chinese traditional culture,but also to shape students' character and promote spiritual and artistic competences.The theoretical research on educational value of Chinese painting teaching in secondary schools of this paper is based on applying the research methods of literature research,teaching observation,case study and practical exploration.What's more,it carries out curriculum design and practical exploration on the realization of educational value.This paper consists of six parts except for introduction.and conclusion.The first part primarily involves research on the main theories related to children's artistic developing phases at home and abroad in order to have a comprehensive analysis and understanding of the age features of junior school students' art development,laying a theoretical foundation for realizing the educational value of Chinese paintings.In the second part,the general characteristics of junior school students' art learning have been studied through teaching observation and interviewing on the basis of the previous theoretical study.The third part has expounded on and analyzed the advantages and shortcomings existing in the current Chinese painting teaching of junior school students via literature research and field visit.In the fourth,fifth,and sixth parts,the paper has conducted a holistic and in-depth study on the value of Chinese painting learning mainly through literature research and outstanding case analysis and has delivered a relevant course assumption and a practical exploration based on the value of Chinese painting learning for junior school students.Thanks to the profound culture carried by Chinese paintings,it is of significance to the improvement of students' character shaping,spiritual cultivation,and necessary art qualities.In order to bright a brighter prospect for realizing the educational value of Chinese paintings,it is necessary for us to carry out an in-depth study on the brilliant traditional culture and the educational value of Chinese paintings,moreover,on the basis of the above,to formulate comprehensive course design and practical exploration.
