The Chinese government pays great attention to transnational patent cooperation and the patent technology research and cooperation of countries along the “Belt and Road”.On November 5,2019,President Xi Jinping delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the 2nd China International Import Expo, stating that "it is advising countries to adopt a more open mindset and measures to jointly build a world economy of open cooperation, open innovation and open sharing".On July 24,2019,the ninth meeting of the China Central Committee for Comprehensive and Deepening Reform was convened and adopted the "Opinions on Strengthening the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights",stating that "Promote China to build an open world economy and further promote the development of all sectors of society and international partners Patent research and cooperation." An in-depth analysis of the " Belt and Road " transnational patent cooperation network can learn about patent cooperation information, help China's overseas patent layout, serve Chinese companies' overseas patent competition and cooperation, and promote the deep integration of our industry into the global industrial chain,Value chain and innovation chain. This paper uses a complex network analysis theory and motif theory to realize the transfer of patent cooperation networks from macro network research to a micro perspective focusing on patent cooperation structures in specific countries. At the same time,it uses data mining algorithms to explore two countries, three countries, and four countries. The strong association relationship between individual countries helps to identify the largest or "dominant" connection mode in the network, and provides an analytical basis for further research on the country's competitive relationship in the patent network. The study found that:(1)By Comparing with the United States,China is not in the intermediary position of key connections.China,India,Russia,Singapore and India constitute the core countries of the patent cooperation network formed by the countries along the “Belt and Road”.(2)China and the United States are the most frequently associated parties and China relies heavily on US international patent cooperation paths;(3)There is a strong "structural hole" in the patent network, namely the United States, and two weak "structural holes",namely China and India;(4)The strong association rules between three-node and four-node countries increase the agglomeration effect of the patent cooperation association network;(5)China and the United States have the same order of subgraph concentrations, and the starbases of the two countries Meta-structures(such as 3-1,4-1)account for the highest proportion(6)The research also found that in the process of international patent research and development, the information, resources, and personnel interaction efficiency held by each node country is very unequal. The structure reflects the high density and non-integration of the patent cooperation networks in China and the United States.
