According to the New Curriculum Standard of Chinese in Senior High School,the ability of appreciation is one of the essential abilities which should be possessed by students.However,at the present stage of learning ancient poetries,students still need to improve the ability of appreciation furtherly and the teaching effect of ancient poetries is inconspicuous.Therefore,the motivation of this dissertation is to improve the quality of the teaching of ancient poetries of Chinese course in senior high school.For the purpose of carrying out the spirit of New Curriculum reform and seek a method to combine the theory and practice in ancient poetry teaching.This dissertation is on the basis of the theories of psychology and pedagogy and the understanding of actual situation by teaching which puts forward that we can solve the problems of low efficiency of teaching of ancient poetry in senior high school by comparative reading.There are totally five chapters in this dissertation.At the beginning is the introduction which introduces the background of this thesis,the current situation on the research of teaching Chinese ancient poetry in senior high school and comparative reading and the purpose,significance and method of this research.The first chapter is mainly about the survey and analysis of the current situation on teaching Chinese ancient poetry in senior high school.The second chapter summarizes the concept,mode of class and theoretical base of comparative reading.The third chapter mainly discussed about the chosen requirements by comparative content and the setting angle of comparative point when doing comparative reading in the teaching of ancient poetry in senior high school.The choice of comparative content should follow three major requirements: rationality,knowing and value.We can set comparative point through five major aspects,which are image,language,means of art,thinking content and emotional attitude.The forth chapter mainly discusses the specific methods and teaching strategies of comparative reading which is used in the teaching of ancient poetry in senior high school.This part is the most essential one in this dissertation.The major comparative methods are enumerated in this dissertation.They are the methods of seeking difference in the sameness,seeking sameness in the difference,deletingwords,substituting words,graphic illustration and associated extension.Subsequently,it turns to discuss the specific teaching strategies.They are illustrated respectively in four aspects that are confirming comparative point,choosing comparative content,organizing comparative reading in the class and having reviewing exercise after class.The fifth chapter is mainly about the demonstration and teaching reflection of teaching design of comparative reading of ancient poetry,as well as the teaching experiment.The first teaching design is that of comparative reading between two poetries that are designed from macro perspective.The second teaching design is that of comparative reading between words and sentences in the poetry that are designed from micro perspective.At last,the author draws a conclusion according to the related comparative methods and teaching strategies which are applied in the actual teaching that the method of comparative reading is related to the teaching effect of ancient poetry.
