As one of the four major professional sports leagues in the United States,NBA has now become the most famous basketball tournament in the world.Its success in business operation can be regarded as a model for all kinds of sports tournaments.The media is the most invisible and powerful factor to promote the success of the NBA.The collusion between the media and sports has greatly matched the interests of both sides and attracted thousands of online and offline audiences to participate in the view of the NBA.So the NBA has become a media spectacle described by Douglas Kellner,which not only brings psychological and visual enjoyment and pleasure to our audiences,but also reverses the important order between sports and Commerce consciously or unconsciously.The media spectacle of NBA is mainly embodied in three aspects:the exciting and lively NBA events,the "busy" media for the games and the audience indulged in the spectacle of NBA.The NBA spectacle in the new media era shows new features such as mobility,socialization and scene.For he NBA spectacle of both the traditional mass media era and the new media era,the driving forces behind it are the pursuit of commercial interests and ideological output.This paper firstly introduces the background,research object and significance of the thesis,and combs the related research of scholars.Chapter 1 defines the key concepts involved in this article,such as spectacularity,media spectacle.Chapter 2 explores the performance of NBA media spectacle.Chapter 3 takes Tencent Sports as an example to explore where the new media spectacle of NBA is new.Chapter 4 analyses the reasons for the NBA media spectacle.Chapter 5 elaborates the problems of the media spectacle and two enlightenments brought by the media spectacle of NBA to our audiences and media.
