In the 21 st century,improving students' scientific literacy has become the goal of international education reform.The concept of helping students to correctly understand the essence of science is not only a core part of scientific literacy,but also a goal pursued by science education.In recent years,the curriculum standards of Chinese middle school science also emphasize the importance of the nature of science.However,Science it has not been specifically proposed yet,how to effectively implement and embody the essence of science in the classroom,so we need to pay more attention to the study of the essence of science.The HPS teaching model is a new teaching model that has emerged internationally.This model not only helps students understand the nature of science,but also enhances their core literacy.Webquest is a teaching method that combines network information technology with inquiry-based learning.It not only meets the requirements of the new curriculum reform,but also meets the requirements of the era of new talent training.By integrating the teaching mode of HPS and Webquest or integrating the teaching mode of Webquest into the teaching mode of HPS,the integrated teaching mode of HPS and Webquest is constructed,the teaching design is prepared,and the teaching strategy of implementing the new mode in the chemistry teaching of senior high school is proposed.Then,according to the practical research of teaching design,the author of this paper chooses two parallel classes of PuYang No.1 senior high school for comparison.The experim-ental class used the integrated teaching mode to teach and control the normal teaching.Taking "whether it can effectively influence students' understanding of the nature of science and whether it can improve students' core literacy level of chemistry" as the basis for testing the practice of this model in high school chemistry classroom teaching,and finally conduct questionnaire survey and interview investigation.The research shows that the teaching of HPS and Webquest integrated teaching mode can significantly promote students' understanding of the scientific essence,and to a certain extent,it also enhances students' chemical core literacy level.The integrated teaching mode of HPS and Webquest is a new type of teaching mode.It is inevitable that there will be some problems and deficiencies.This article only provides a new perspective for teachers to change the teaching mode in the information technology environment.
