Research On Group Work Intervention In The Cultivation Of Elderly Volunteers In Urban Communities From The Perspective Of Active Agin

Since China entered an ageing society,the Party and the State have attached great importance to this issue,and the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee even elevated "actively coping with the ageing of the population" to a national strategy.Promoting the development of elderly resources is an important aspect of "active aging",and effectively tapping the "longevity dividend" is of great significance to the development of the country and the promotion of elderly health.The community is the main place for the elderly to live,Nurturing elderly volunteers from the community can not only explore the strengths and potentials of the low-aged and healthy elderly in the community to help them reshape their life in old age,but also develop the potential elderly resources in the community,thus,enriching and strengthening the community building force.Social work,with its value of helping people to help themselves and its professional approach,has unique advantages in nurturing elderly volunteers,and its integration into the nurturing of elderly volunteers in the community is both feasible and important.This study uses the method of group work and selects the elderly people in X community in Changchun City as the research object.Through interviews,questionnaires and field research with the elderly people who have volunteering experience in X community,we have an in-depth understanding of the current situation and problems in the development of senior volunteer service in X community.The problems were highlighted in the following aspects: the scarcity of senior volunteers,the lack of awareness of volunteer service,the lack of volunteer service ability and the lack of incentive mechanism.Through the analysis,we found that the problems are caused by the following aspects: the elderly themselves have deviations in their understanding of volunteerism,the community lacks corresponding organizational training and incentive mechanisms,and the government has not introduced relevant systems to guarantee and give corresponding financial support.In response to the problems of senior volunteerism in X community,the author adopted a social work approach to conduct seven group interventions aimed at enhancing the volunteer awareness and capacity of senior volunteers in X community.After the activities,the author made professional reflections and summaries and put forward suggestions in terms of breaking down conceptual barriers,creating practical channels and standardizing institutional construction,hoping to provide research reference for other related studies.
