With the deepening of China-Thailand all-round cooperation and exchanges,Chinese teaching has become a trend in Thailand's primary,secondary and primary schools.As one of the four elements of Chinese,Chinese character teaching is important.Based on the investigation and analysis of the current situation of Chinese characters teaching in schools at all levels in northeastern Thailand,taking Pak Thong Chai Pakchaniramit middle school as an example,the article puts forward some constructive strategies based on her own teaching practice.This article is divided into five parts.The introduction part mainly explains the origin of the research,research overview,research value and research methods.The first part of the paper mainly introduces the general situation of the northeastern region of Thailand,the current situation of the development of Chinese language teaching,and the actual situation of the Chinese language teaching in Pak Thong Chai Pakchaniramit middle school.In this part,the author summarizes the constraints of the Chinese character teaching in the school,and analyzes the feasibility and necessity of the development of Chinese character teaching.The second part of the paper,based on reviewing and analysing different Chinese character teaching cases,summaries the Chinese character teaching problems from the ‘teaching' and ‘learning' aspects.The third part of the paper,starting from the teaching practice of the author,tries to sum up the improvement measures adopted:(1)On the teaching means,enhance the interest of Chinese character teaching with the help of games,multimedia and social software;(2)to select the teaching content reasonably and effectively according to the requirements of the syllabus of the students at the junior and senior high school levels;(3)In teaching methods,changing a single method of making students copy mechanically,adopting comparative analysis methods,component teaching methods,and rational literacy methods,etc.,to decompose the difficulty of learning Chinese characters;(4)On the teaching goal,train students 'self-study ability,and in view of the learning characteristics of Thai students who can not consciously review after class,the author assigns homework and tie it to students' achievements,and checks the implementation;In response to the problem that students will not use dictionaries,after students are relatively familiar with the strokes and radicals of Chinese characters,the radicals of the dictionary are taught to students;To cultivate students 'interest in learning,we must strive to convert external motivation into students' internal motivation.At the same time,we must also use students 'external motivation to encourage students to study Chinese characters.Afterward,the author intercepts several typical examples of Chinese characters teaching and evaluates the teaching effect of Chinese characters from two aspects: students 'performance and normal performance.The conclusion part summarizes the whole paper,and reflects on it.
