Abstract/Summary:
Since 40 years of the reform and opening up,the economy has developed rapidly,the social structure has been constantly transformed,and a large number of rural surplus labor has been transferred to urban construction.Generational shift,the new generation of migrant workers has become the main force of China's economic construction,which has an increasingly important impact on social development.However,restricted by the household registration system,economic conditions,education and other factors,the employment quality of the new generation of migrant workers has always been at a low level,which has seriously affected people's sense of social and economic development and restricted China's economic development and social progress.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to systematically study the employment quality of the new generation of migrant workers and its influencing factors.Firstly,the paper analyses and defines the relevant concepts of the employment quality of the new generation of migrant workers,and on the basis of literature review and theoretical analysis,studies the key influencing factors of the employment quality of the new generation of migrant workers.Secondly,it analyses the connotation and characteristics of employment quality,human capital,social capital,social security system,employer system and their influence relations,puts forward eight research hypotheses,and constructs a theoretical model of the influencing factors of the employment quality of the new generation of migrant workers.Finally,based on the individual questionnaire data from the China Labor-force Dynamic Survey(CLDS)in2016,the theoretical model is empirically studied by descriptive statistics,factor analysis and partial least squares structural equation model(PLS-SEM).The impact of key factors on the employment quality of the new generation of migrant workers is calculated and analyzed.Research findings:(1)Human capital,employer system,social security system and social capital have significant effects on the employment quality of the new generation of migrant workers.The total effects are 0.418,0.374,0.364 and 0.277.(2)Human capital plays a significant intermediary role in the relationship between social security system,employer system and the employment quality of the new generation of migrant workers,while the impact of social security system on employer system and employer system on the social capital of the new generation of migrant workers is not significant.Based on the above findings,the paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to improve the employment quality of the new generation of migrant workers from four aspects: strengthening human capital investment,strengthening employer responsibility,improving working environment,strengthening government supervision,improving social security system,strengthening social capital and strengthening social responsibility.
