Concept teaching gradually comes into our view along with the continuous advancement of the new curriculum reform,which asks for more attention paid to the relationship between concepts especially the integrity of concepts while constantly emphasizes the importance of biological concepts.Therefore,we focus on the concept of biology and use the form of unit teaching to help students construct a conceptual knowledge system.This study conducts by choosing chapter 3 and chapter 4 of 《Analysis and Cells》of senior school biology textbook Ⅰ in PEP Version as teaching materials.Firstly,the literature related to concept teaching and unit teaching is sorted out to learn the current situation of relevant research more,and the observation method and interview method are used to know the students' situation and the teachers' implementation of concept teaching in the practical class.After that,the relevant teaching contents of the study are analysed,including curriculum standards,teaching objectives and all biological concepts,to make sure that a reasonable unit teaching design is formulated combining the analysis of students' situation.Class 1 grade 2 in lanzhou W middle school is selected to carry out a three-month teaching practice and analyze the teaching effect.Through this practical research,it is showed that students' learning of biological concepts can meet the requirements of teaching objectives by implementing unit teaching,and moreover it is found visibly that the classroom atmosphere becomes more actively than before inferred that the students may prefer this unit teaching method to the old method.The results also show that(1)Unit teaching is usefully to help students learn biological concepts.(2)Concept teaching is conducive to improving classroom efficiency;(3)Concept teaching helps a lot in promoting teachers' professional development.However,the implemention of concept teaching based on unit teaching design proposed in this study is a lasting process,which requires more teachers research and practice continuously.Three conclusions can be drawn based on the whole research:(1)Popularize unit teaching in the whole grade;(2)Unit integration of the whole textbook;(3)Implementthe integration of unit teaching content.
