Research On Influencing Factors Of University Business Incubator Performance

As an important measure to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education,university business incubators help students step over the entrepreneurial “Death Valley” and solve the “One Centimeter Obstacle”of students from college to the market.In recent years,in order to respond to the policy,a lot of university business incubators have been established in campus and the incubating measures are carried out in an orderly manner.At present,there are few literature researching on the performance of domestic university business incubator,and the lag of theoretical research cannot provide corresponding guidance for practice.Guided by incubating process theory of Hackett & Dilts,this paper collects relevant data of the incubation of 211 project universities and uses multiple linear regression method to explore the factors affecting the performance of university business incubator in four aspects: the strength of entrepreneurial team,the training and guidance capability of incubation,the richness of the incubation resources and entrepreneurial incubation network.This research is based on the control of the time incubator established and the economic development of the city where university business incubation is located.By doing this,we hope to provide theoretical and decision-making support for the construction of university business incubator.The results show that the entrepreneurial team's own strength has no marked effect on incubation performance.The training and guidance capability has a significant positive influence on the incubation performance.Part of the richness of incubation resources has significant influence on the incubation performance,among which whether the incubation provide investments has a significant influence,the infrastructure of the incubation and whether to provide start-up funds have unremarkable influence on incubation performance.The network of university business incubation has significant influence on incubation performance.Since the scientific performance evaluation system of university business incubator has not been established in China,it is difficult to evaluate the achievement of the incubation effectively.Therefore,the government should focus on assessing the effectiveness of university business incubators and consider about how to encourage universities to maximize the role of university business incubator through performance appraisal.Government should pay attention to the training and guidance capability and external resource developing ability and the network construction of university business incubator.Government should establish a scientific and effective performance appraising system and promote the enhancement ofincubating ability of university business incubators so that the incubating projects could gradually mature.Universities should create a good entrepreneurial atmosphere and do a good job in propaganda to encourage entrepreneurial students to join the incubator.The university business incubators should establish a sound training and guiding system to improve its training and guidance capability.At the same time,the incubation should pay attention to the construction of the incubation network and become the bridge between entrepreneurial students and the market.The incubator should provide entrepreneurial support for students so that the students can gain social capital and accumulate entrepreneurial experience and finally become mature.
