Primary and secondary school textbooks are the cornerstone of national basic education,and are crucial to the construction of knowledge systems and the formation of ideological concepts.Through studying textbooks,students not only master the knowledge,but also subtly accept the ideological values.Therefore,the publication research on primary and secondary school textbooks is particularly important.This paper takes the primary and secondary school textbooks published by People's Education Press as the research object,and takes the peasant image as the foothold of the research.It analyzes the texts and pictures showing the image of the peasant in the textbooks of Chinese,politics and history to explore the construction of the peasant image.The research finds that: A.The peasant image constructed in primary and secondary school textbooks is mainly positive.B.The textbooks mainly reflect the image of Russian farmers.C.Textbooks tend to construct the collective image of peasants.D.Textbooks are devoted to improving the social status of farmers.After analysis,this paper argues that the formation of this media image in textbooks is influenced by many factors,such as society,the state,publishers,media,educators and educates.Finally,in view of the strong effect of training theory in the field of textbooks,this paper argues that the ministries of propaganda,education and publishing institutions involved in the publication of textbooks should work together to improve the quality of textbooks and strengthen the ideological construction of textbooks.
